Check the options below to and pick the right one that suits your workflow.
A. Screenshot of the entire screen:
Press Command, Shift and 3 together to take a screenshot of the entire screen.
The screenshot will save on your desktop. You can Modify or Delete the screenshot whenever you want.
B. Screenshot of a selected portion:
You can take a screenshot of a selected portion of the window. Press Command, Shift and 4 together and your cursor will change. Select the portion of which you want a screenshot by dragging the cursor. When you release the cursor the screenshot will save on your desktop.
C. Screenshot of a window:
You may need to take a screenshot of a particular window. Press Command, Shift, 4 and Spacebar together. The cursor will be changed to a camera icon. Focus the camera on the window of which you want to take a screenshot and click. The screenshot will save on your desktop.
D. Screen record on Mac:
You can record your screen on your Mac. Press Command, Shift and 5 together. A recording bar will open. Select Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion and click on the window. It will start recording the Mac screen. To stop the recording press Command, Shift and 5 together and click on the stop button. The recording will be stopped and will save on the desktop.
