How to recover deleted Google Calendar events
Restore an event you deleted by mistake from Google Calendar's Trash. It takes a few clicks on a computer and works for events deleted in the last 30 days.

It is easy to delete the wrong meeting or appointment in Google Calendar, and most people do not know there is a Trash that keeps deleted events for a while.
Google Calendar keeps deleted events in its Trash for 30 days. You reach it from Settings in the browser version on a computer, pick the right calendar, and restore the event to exactly where it was.
What you need
- A Google account with Google Calendar
- A computer with a web browser (Trash is not in the mobile app)
- An event deleted within the last 30 days

Open the Trash
Open Google Calendar in a browser on a computer. Select the gear icon in the top right corner and choose
Trash. You see all events deleted in the last 30 days. -

Pick the right calendar
If you have more than one calendar, select the one the event was on in the list on the left.

Restore the event
Tick the event you want back and select
Restore all selected. The event returns to your calendar just as it was.
Tips and common problems
- Only events deleted in the last 30 days can be restored.
- Cannot find the event in Trash? Check you selected the calendar it belonged to.
- Use a computer. The Trash is in the browser version of Google Calendar.

Yes, if it was deleted in the last 30 days. Open Google Calendar on a computer, go to the gear icon > Trash, select the event and choose Restore all selected.
How long does Google Calendar keep deleted events?
30 days. After that they are removed from Trash and cannot be restored this way.
