How to add your webmail or company email to Outlook with IMAP (desktop and mobile)
Connect a company email account from your web host (Hostinger in the video, but the same steps work for Bluehost, SiteGround and others) to the Outlook desktop app and the Outlook mobile app using IMAP and SMTP.

Many small businesses get email with their web hosting and end up logging in to a separate webmail page to read it. That means one more tab to check and no access from the Outlook app you already use. Adding the account to Outlook with IMAP keeps everything in one place and in sync.
Any webmail account can be added to Outlook if you know its IMAP (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) server settings. Your host lists them in its dashboard, and you can also find them with a quick web search for your provider's official guide.
IMAP keeps the mail on the server, so everything you send and receive in Outlook also shows up in webmail and on your phone.

- Your email address and password for the webmail account
- Your provider's IMAP and SMTP server names, ports and encryption type
- The Outlook desktop app, the Outlook mobile app, or both

Find your IMAP and SMTP settings
Look up your provider's mail server settings. In the Hostinger dashboard they are under Connect apps and devices. You do not need dashboard access: a web search for your provider plus "IMAP SMTP settings" finds the official guide.
For Hostinger, the video uses incoming (IMAP) port
993and outgoing (SMTP) port465, both with SSL/TLS encryption. -

Add the account in Outlook desktop
In the Outlook desktop app, click File, then Add Account, and type your webmail address. When asked for the account type, choose IMAP. IMAP is the better choice when you read the same email in several places. POP downloads mail to one device.

Enter the incoming and outgoing server details
For Incoming mail, paste the IMAP server name, set the port to
993and the encryption method toSSL/TLS. For Outgoing mail, paste the SMTP server name, set the port to465and the encryption toSSL/TLS. Click Next, enter your email password, and wait for Account successfully added. -

Test sending and receiving
The new account and its folders now appear in Outlook. Send a test email. It shows in Sent Items in Outlook and in the sent folder in webmail. Outlook also sends a test message to the inbox while it checks your settings, which confirms the account is working.

Add the account in the Outlook mobile app
In the Outlook mobile app, open the account menu and tap Add account, then Add email account. Enter the email address and choose IMAP. Fill in a display name, the IMAP host name (for Hostinger,
imap.hostinger.com), port993with SSL security, and your password.Then enter the SMTP host name, port
465with SSL security and the SMTP password. Tap Sign in. Your inbox and sent items match the desktop app and webmail.
Tips and common problems
- Choose IMAP rather than POP. IMAP keeps mail in sync between webmail, Outlook desktop and your phone.
- Use the exact ports and encryption your provider lists. In the video, Hostinger uses 993 for IMAP and 465 for SMTP, both with SSL/TLS.
- You do not need access to the hosting dashboard to find the settings. Search for your provider's official IMAP and SMTP guide.
- Outlook sends itself a test message while it checks your settings. Seeing it in the webmail inbox confirms the connection works.
